Rev Dr. David G. Latimore is the director of the Betsey Stockton Center for Black Church Studies at Princeton Theological Seminary. He has served as Senior Pastor at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church, Nashville, TN, taught at Belmont University, Nashville where he acted as a minority student mentor and was Associate Director for The Academy of Preachers, Nashville.
He earned a PhD from the University of Chicago, a D.Min. from McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago, a M.Div. from Duke Divinity School, Durham, NC and an AB from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA. He served as pastor at three other congregations: Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Joliet, IL, Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Gainesville, FL and Southern Union Baptist Church, St. Louis, MO. Prior to attending seminary, he had a career in investment management and economic development. MMBB service began in 2025. He currently serves on the Benefits Committee and the Finance Committee.
