Chief Legal and Compliance Officer & Corporate Secretary
Denise Peart is the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer for MMBB and also serves as Corporate Secretary for MMBB. With 15 years’ experience in the City of New York Office of Labor Relations, she brings a deep understanding of the compliance issues surrounding retirement benefits. Denise served both as the Deputy Assistant Counsel of the New York City Deferred Compensation Plan and Deputy Director of Contracts and Legal Affairs of Tax Favored Benefits and Citywide Programs.
In the latter role, she managed the Contracts and Legal Affairs Department of the New York City Deferred Compensation Plan, the Management Benefits Fund and Citywide Programs. Denise issued Requests for Proposals and negotiated investment management and administrative service contracts and served as the liaison between the programs, vendors, participants, consultants and the New York City Law Department.
A member of the New York State Bar, she earned her Bachelor of Arts with honors from the City College of New York and her Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School.
