MMBB Announces Two Promotions
The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board (MMBB) announces the promotion of two key staff members. Effective today, Louis P. Barbarin assumes the role of Deputy Executive Director, along with his current responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. In a separate action, the MMBB Board of Managers also elected Matthew D. Hoffman, Director of Consultative Services, as Corporate Secretary.
Mr. Barbarin joined the MMBB staff in 1998 as CFO and shortly thereafter was elected treasurer by the Board of Managers. He previously served as the deputy executive director and treasurer of Educational Ministries, ABCUSA. Mr. Barbarin holds a B.S. in Accounting and a Masters in Finance from Pennsylvania State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Hoffman has been at MMBB since 2002. He previously worked in wealth management at Merrill Lynch and Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Hoffman is a graduate of Nyack College and holds a Masters in Finance from Boston University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Chartered Financial Consultant.
