Provide Protection, Peace-of-Mind and Pensions
The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board offers a variety of flexible and comprehensive benefit programs for ministers, missionaries and lay employees of Baptist affiliated organizations.
The Benefits for Life Program provides members and their families with the peace of mind that comes from income protection during the working years and greater financial security in retirement. Pre-retirement disability benefits include monthly income for disabled members and child allowances. Upon death before retirement, survivors receive a lump sum multiple of annual pay. Death benefits also include child allowances and lifetime income for surviving spouses. Members receive retirement income for life in the form of income option they choose.
With The Annuity Supplement (TAS), employees cut their tax bills today as they
set aside money for tomorrow, greatly enhancing their ability to retire. Small, steady
contributions made over time can benefit from compound investment return for a
significant increase in retirement income for its recipients.
Tax-Deferred Annuity (TDA) gives employers a flexible way to make retirement
contributions for their employees. Employers can set up regular contributions as well
as pay a special bonus or celebrate an anniversary or other special event. For
pastors who live in a parsonage, employers make TDA contributions to help them
build assets for housing in retirement—sometimes called an "equity" allowance.
